Zach Halder has committed to play soccer at Simpson College, an NCAA Division III mens soccer program. He currently plays for the U18 Iowa Rush Nike Boys coached by Matt Dryer. At Simpson, Zach will play for former Iowa Rush and Ankeny High School coach, and Current Simpson College Head Soccer Coach Rick Isaacson, and his assistant, Brian Duax, also Iowa Rush Director of Senior Boys. In addition to playing soccer, Zach was also a place kicker on the Ankeny Hawks State Championship Football team in 2012. Zach plans to major in Accounting at Simpson College. After attracting attention from several college programs Zach said, "I'm excited for the opportunity to join the Simpson Mens Soccer team and help Coach Isaacson continue to build the program".
Riley Miller has committed to play soccer at Wartburg College, an NCAA Division III womens soccer program. She currently plays for the u18 Iowa Rush Nike team coached by Daryl Brazeau. Riley is looking forward to next year, "The next chapter in my life is critical not only in taking the next step for soccer, but also academically. I can't wait to take on the challenge and see where it takes me." In terms of the recruiting process and soccer development, Riley says that "Daryl was a huge help in my final fall season with Rush."
Maddie Vincent has committed to the University of Montana, an NCAA Division I women's soccer program. She currently plays for the u18 Iowa Rush Nike team coached by Daryl Brazeau. Maddie is traveling far from home but says she is "looking forward to living on a beautiful campus where I will be given the opportunity to compete both on the field and in the classroom." Maddie joined the Rush this past fall season after attending a summer training camp at the University of Montana and talking about her club choices with the head coach, Mark Plakorus, who suggested that the Rush would help her continued development and prepare her for the transition to the college game.
