Director of Coaching
Greg Hennelly joins the Iowa Rush Soccer Club from the collegiate ranks and has run youth clubs in Ohio. He has also coached within the Olympic Development Program (ODP) as both head coach of the Ohio North State Team as well as serving on Regional staff on the boy’s side. Greg is coming from Bowling Green State University as an assistant coach, where the BGSU Falcons are coming off of a campaign where they scored the most goals in a season for over a decade and had the most shut-outs (8) defensively since 1998 on the field, while in the classroom the Falcons received the NSCAA Team Academic award for having a minimum team GPA of 3.0. Greg specifically oversaw all camps, tournaments, travel and recruited top players from across the nation to attend the Division 1 University as a part the BG program. Greg also worked as the Director of Coaching for the BG Soccer Club and Assistant Director of Coaching for the Toledo Footbal Academy where he oversaw daily operations, training curriculums and community connections. Hennelly also selected and trained the best players in ODP from Ohio North as the state team head coach and served on Regional Staff to select and train the best players in the region for consideration in the national program. Some career highlights include being selected as an NSCAA ALL-American player as a youth and he received the Ohio Youth Soccer Association-North’s Coach of the year award in 2011. Greg has his USSF “B” License as well as the USSF National Youth License and has a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
