The Iowa Rush U11 Girl's  recently won the Iowa Soccer Association's indoor tournament photo 2013Indoor Championships held over the February 2-3 weekend in Cedar Falls, Iowa at the University of Northern Iowa Dome. The team consisted of Lori Dauterive, Emma DeCosta, Jaecee Hall, Kennedee Jones, Kameron Nehring, Diana Schakel, Peyton Silvers, Jaden Tverberg, Kennade Wardyn, Kira Wilson, and Miranda Wood and was coached by the Technical Director Corbin Stone. They played a 7v7 format on field turf against teams from all over Iowa.

In the preliminary round, Rush defeated Muscatine Soccer Club, 4-0, and Cedar Valley Soccer Association 5-2 before losing a tough battle to FC United (Cedar Rapids), 2-0. However, the team still advanced as second place in their group, defeating Vision Soccer Academy (Waukee). In the final, Rush got to face FC United again. This time around, the girls were prepared and put together a much better game, winning 3-0. Throughout the weekend, the girls worked hard to get a hold of the ball, find feet, and circulate the ball, adjusting the tempo of the game when necessary. This was important to the group as they have worked very hard on these topics at training.

Great soccer, great job!
